LHO's security clearance?

LHO had, according to a fellow member of his unit in japan, the highest level security clearance CRYPTO. < That is one huge flashing red light IMO.

Note also that when LHO 'defected' to the USSR, he knew the current U2 spy plane mission codes.We are told that the US Military did not change the codes after they learnt of his 'defection' - why on earth would they not do it?... Unless of course the Soviets needed some help in convincing them of LHO's bonafides.

Does anyone have a picture or info of the U2 shootdown?Or was the plane Forced to land?

The U-2 was shot down by a surface-to-air missile, but Powers was able to bail out. Here is a photo of Nikita Khrushchev looking at part of the wrecked plane.
