You can be sure that her liquidation was discussed at the highest levels. Intel chief #1: "We are going to have to have that Kilgallen bitch taken care of once and for all! She's getting too close to the evidence and all we need is her with a large following publicizing our secrets like a bloodhound". Other agency head: "Isn't there some way we can send her a message, quiet her up so she backs off?" IC #1: "An injured animal is far more unpredictable and dangerous than a dead one. She was right to dig into the Marilyn Monroe mess, we had to work overtime to keep that conspiracy under wraps".
