When Yates' story withstood repeated Hoover-directed interrogations November 26 and December 10, 1963; as well as January 3 and 4, 1964, Yates was committed to Woodlawn Hospital for the mentally ill in Dallas for the remaining eleven years of his life receiving 42 electroshock treatments and continuous Thorazine and Stelazine injections turning him into “a walking zombie.”Hoover deemed Yates' story so dangerous as to send sequential URGENT teletype instructions to his agents to make the second Oswald disappear.Unspeakable pp 351-6.
