Something I have been wondering about. Why do you think Jack Ruby would give his life to silence LHO?seems extreme to me

Dealey Joe,I have been thinking about Ruby as well for some time. First in my opinion is that he was a professional at least in the sense of being a criminal. I think he wanted to be somebody that made others nervous. I think he was a Hit man long before he got into running strip clubs etc. I think he was responsible for Oswald not being killed before being in custody, and knew he had to take care of it. As Mr. Files relates even other mobsters wanted back up when meeting him.

I agree with Kirk, Joe. I reckon he was pressured into it; made - what do they call it? - an offer he couldn't refuse.I read somewhere (or maybe I heard Jim D or someone say) that chances were he thought he'd get off with a short sentence, and it was either that or he'd be topped.I'm pretty sure I did hear it on Black Op, now that I think about it.

I have Seth Kantor's book. He catalogued the calls. Ruby was talking to some heavy hitters. Hoffa's big muscle.Nice Mark Lane catch re the 1947 testimony of informant Jacob Rubenstein of Chicago for Congressman Richard M. Nixon Republican of California. And it was the year Jack was moved to Dallas. He relaxed when informed Oswald was dead.Something about forty K in tax liability. He was making trips to Cuba for McWillie and Lansky and others. Some gunrunning. Apparently he was the go-to guy in the Big D for dope. It's an action painting, the canvas is spinning, colors are dropped on the medium.Angleton and Armstrong and the creation of the Harvey and Lee Janus.Jack, too, was a Janus, the Roman god of gates with two faces.Warren and Ford wouldn't protect him because they were part of the coverup. He was onto Johnson, but Johnson was just a pillar in the temple, not the whole acropolis.Yeah, he's a major character, a sine qua non. And he did it all to spare poor Mrs. Kennedy.

Ruby would have given his life if he hadn't silenced LHO. And it wouldn't have been pretty.

Joe, I believe the head man Will "Barney Fife" Fritz knew what was coming.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4-ay8og ... elatedSome Lone Nut apologists claim that Fritz had a hearing problem during the Oswald transfer and that's why his reactions were slow. Seems that Fritz had no problem hearing when answering reporters questions:Now look at Fritz reaction closely:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jID0ddsfRKI
