Cowardly Leadership

Post by Bob »

Billy's question about Ron Paul got me thinking about who might be the new leader of the United States in 2008. To me, the Republican party, with VERY few exceptions, are all cowardly leaders. We start with Dumbya Bu$h who was AWOL, getting high on coke and drinking like a fish. Then we have five deferment Dick Cheney. It gets me sick to see these assholes making speeches in front of our troops, when they were themselves cowards. They also cut funding to our veterans and make hospital conditions like Walter Reed deplorable. Then we have some of the nominees for the Republican ticket in 2008. Giuliani, Thompson and Romney never served in Vietnam, yet they were all old enough. But they are all of these talk tough types, who never saw a war they wouldn't dodge. It's funny how people love war when it isn't themselves or their children being affected. That is why this "surge" in Iraq is so assinine. The U.S. troops are dying in droves every day, while these cowards in the White House get richer every day because of the profits from war profiteering and oil. Again, it's the Bu$h family modus operandi. Four generations of the cowardly tradition. And a treasonous tradition.

Election 2008

The pendulum always swings!! You can rest assured there will NOT be a Republican in the White House in 2008. The American people will not stand for it. There is just too much at stake. 9/11 be damned, Bush has screwed this country so badly we may never recover. I said 3 years ago that Iraq was VIETNAM IN THE DESERT, and it has turned out to be so. I am for cleaning out the ENTIRE Congress, I think they have performed shamefully and deserve to lose their jobs. If you or I performed on the job the way these people have, our asses would have been fire years ago! It is shameful and embarrassing as an American that we continue this charade of a government that is self-serving, lies to the American people, steals our jobs and ships them overseas, exploits our labor force and our military then denies them basic healthcare needs, and has turned the environmental saving of our planet into a political football. I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!

As news commentators keep pointing out, it's too early to tell. And with Trump and the three leading contenders all being in their 70's, who knows if their health will hold up for the coming year. In fact, who knows if we will be here in a year. One thing seems certain though, who ever wins, the status quo will endure. I can say for a certainty that every president in my lifetime, from Truman to Trump, has made no difference in any way to my life. What we are observing is the business of media, not real life. It's as real as professional wrestling and reality TV. It really doesn't effect the vast majority of the population in any way. Those who make the decisions are not in the public eye. People create their own personal destinies regardless of who is in power.

Thank you Bruce. I'm happy to share these ideas with everyone and appreciate that you did not use my name. As I have no way of knowing where my comments will eventually appear, I would just as soon remain anonymous on forums that I haven't joined.
