Speaking of Neil, here is a nice tribute on his site to those who have given their lives in the name of liberty. Including those who needlessly (but bravely) gave their lives in the LIE that is called the war in Iraq. Bu$h (AWOL-National Guard) and Cheney (5 deferments to avoid Vietnam) were both too gutless to fight for their country when they had their chance, but they had no issues sending others off to war to suit their interests ($$$), all built on a GIANT lie.
If you fought for your country maybe you could call them too gutless, at least 43 served - so if he is gutless what does that make YOU!

We have been down this road before Dan. I refuse to allow you to question my patriotism. If you truly can defend Bu$h (you call being AWOL serving?) and Cheney, then you REALLY are showing your true colors. Oh, by the way, your boy Jeb is just as big a criminal as the rest of the treasonous Bu$hes. But at least he can put together a complete sentence, unlike his brother Dumbya!
I am not questioning your patriotism. I only believe that the term "too gutless to fight" should come from somebody who has been there.

I do believe the stage is being set for JEB - you can count on the democrat side being manipulated to put up such a horrible candidate that the country will go for Jeb in 4 or 8 years. The powers that rule the country/world seem to be able to pick who runs on either side (probably some trusted secret society member - what do you think Billy?).
The republicans may yield the next election so that Jeb will be in the driver's seat in due time. Count on a democrat who can self destruct, Hitlery for instance, to get the nod.
This is the way they play the game. Setting up for the future by moving the pawns to the correct squares now. Patience = Power. Power = Money.
Jeb is not yet ready - the country is not yet ready for another Bush (or Clinton?) - this will be interesting.

I believe the phrase "too gutless to fight" is quite correct in the case of those in the current administration. I was not born as of the Vietnam years and thus could not fight, but I do know that if it came down to it I would certainly not put myself in Iraq, and I certainly don't believe that to be gutless, as I would never have sent anyone there in the first place.
Now as for those being labeled "gutless", I think that in the context of the fact that these men, whom clearly have war-mongering tendencies, did everything in their power to stay out of a war that like minded people started would definitely fall into the category of "gutless".
You simply have to look at it from a perspective of then + now = gutless or not.
Would I consider anyone who objected to Vietnam and then did not fight in Vietnam gutless? Absolutely not.
There are plenty of people who fall into the recruitment age for the military now that champion the war in Iraq and yet do not go.
